Many people fall in love with these popular dogs the first time they see one.

As for us, we had never even heard of a Bichon Frise until 7 years ago.

One evening, while watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show from Madison Square Garden in New York City, we saw J.R., a Bichon Frise, win Best in Show.

He was so cute and adorable. Once we saw him, we were hooked and couldn't wait to get one of our own.

On October 13, 2002, our dream came true when we purchased Buddy from a local, reputable Bichon Frise breeder. He turned out to be just what we were looking for.

Bichons thrive on human contact. These white fluffy dogs prefer to be with, on or around their owners at all times.

Bichon Frises also desire to make everyone around them happy.

They believe that the whole world revolves around them. These characteristics make the Bichon Frise breed an ideal pet for those with children and other animals.

Considered a lapdog, don't be surprised if you find your Bichon jumping into your lap every time you sit on the sofa. Or even crawling up onto your chest when you lie down on your bed at night.

These popular dogs have been a huge part of our lives for the past 7 years. We currently own 3 of them, Buddy, Emily and Beau. Buddy is 7 years old, Emily is 3 years old and Beau is 11 months old. You will become more acquainted with them as you navigate around the site. We couldn't imagine our lives without them!

Bichon Frise History goes back many centuries and is quite fascinating. Dating back to as early as 1200 A.D., these small white dogs have been capturing the hearts of men and women ever since.
